Obituary

Albert M. Fischbein, decorated WWII Veteran, beloved and devoted husband of Joan, nee Werner for 56 years; loving father of Steven, Jill (Scott), Lefcourt, Seth (Alison) and the late Kenneth (Patricia); chereshed grandpa of Sarah, Alex, Maxi, Michael and Matthew; dear brother of the late Eleanor (late Sam) Julian; dear uncle and friend of many. Chapel service 3 PM Wednesday at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Midwest Palliative & Hospice CareCenter, 2050 Claire Court, Glenview, IL 60025. We will always remember visiting with Uncle Abby and listening to the stories of the past. His growing up with his sister(my Mom), his war stories of his bravery, our summer vacations together with his children and my family. I will cherish the basebasll that he unselfishly had signed for me by the great Roger Maris. Most of all we will remember him for the great husband, father, grandfather and man that he was. We have faith that he is in heaven being happily reunited with his son Ken. Love to the Fischbein family from the Julian family.
